CRECHE SUPERVISOR

A creche supervisor, is responsible for the safety and well-being of children in a childcare facility. Their duties include:

Job Description
● Lesson planning
● Keep everyone safe by following policies and procedures
● Meet the dietary, health and care needs including feeding and nappy changing
● Work together with parents and other professionals
● Ensure the curriculum and planning cycle meets the needs of all children
● Maintain records and completion of progress checks for each child
● Practice positive behaviour management techniques
● Support and promote diversity and equality
● Work as part of a team
● Use initiative and show resilience
● Attend staff meetings and training sessions
● Participation in appraisals and one to ones
● Promote the centre to current parents and potential customers
● Take on board new ideas and initiatives

● Some essential job requirements for a creche supervisor include. Leadership skills, Attention to safety, Responsibility, Recordkeeping skills, and Training in early childhood education.
● Experience working with young children either in a professional home base or early years provision
● Good literacy, numeracy skills
● Understanding child development, including children with disabilities
● Knowledge of child protection procedures
● Soft skills: Patience, communication, teamwork and creativity

Education: Any Graduate with experience working with young children.
