Fellowships

The Department of Pathology at St. John's Medical College, Bangalore offers a one-year training program in anatomic Pediatric pathology. The training program is based primarily upon the study and reporting of Pediatric surgical specimens and the performance of autopsies. In addition, fellows receive training in Pediatric subspecialties like placental pathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal and liver pathology, renal pathology, immunopathology, Hirschprung’s disease diagnostics, hematopathology, cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics.

Eligibility: Post MD/DNB candidates from Pathology (preferably with 2 years professional experience after post-graduation).
Duration: 12 months

Course fee: Rs. 50,000 per annum (Nominal stipend will be paid)

St. John’s Medical College, under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, announces the starting of Fellowship in Sports Injury & Arthroscopy. This recurring program is for a period of one and half year (1 & ½ year) commencing in the month of September. The intake to this program is for up to 4 candidates with MS/DNB in Orthopaedics and preferably two years Professional Experience after Post Graduation. Selected candidates will assist the department in Clinical and Research work. The institution eventually plans to become a Super Specialty Centre for Management of Sports Injury.

Eligibility
Candidates should have completed minimum of 2 years of Senior Residency post MS Ortho / DNB Ortho

Cost
Approximately Rs. 40,000/- for the entire course or as instructed by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Caution deposit refundable Rs. 50,000/-

Duration of fellowship
18 months with an opportunity to do clinical & fundamental research.

The goal of this course is to train practicing physicians in the application of integrated system-based approach in the diagnosis and management of common medical problems in ambulatory patients of all age groups presenting in a family practice setting. The certificate of completion for this course will be awarded by St John’s after completion of the 12 months course.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
Fellowship in Family Medicine is of One-year duration. Candidates must complete the course within 3 years of date of enrolment. The course starts from 1st of September every year and ends on 30th of August the following year.

ELIGIBILITY
All the MBBS graduates who are practicing or want to start family medicine practice in the community. Preference will be given to graduates of the St. Johns Medical College who are serving the rural community.

Duration of the Course-
Duration of the ICCM Certificate Course (CCC) will be ONE Year for MD/ MS/ DNB Candidates and TWO Years for DA/ DTCD Candidates.
