Strong Condemnation of Violence Against Healthcare Workers

We, the management and staff of St. John's National Academy of Health Sciences, are deeply disturbed and appalled by the recent, horrific act of violence that occurred in Kolkata.

Healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to saving others. To be subjected to such brutality is not only a personal tragedy but a grave assault on the very foundation of our society. We stand in solidarity with the victim and her family during this unimaginably difficult time.

Our institution is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all our healthcare professionals, particularly the women who play such a vital role in our community. We will not tolerate any compromise on the dignity and respect due to our healthcare professionals. They deserve to be respected and protected against all forms of violence—whether physical, verbal, or emotional.

Let us all work together to create a society where healthcare workers can perform their duties without fear.
