Overview - Pulmonary Medicine


The Department of Pulmonary Medicine has been functional since the year 2000 under the leadership of Prof. George D’Souza. The department was initially started with one faculty member and has currently expanded to include 9 faculty, 4 respiratory technicians and 1 respiratory therapist. The department initially conducted super-speciality training under National Board of Examinations (DNB) and currently offers post-doctoral fellowship (DM) in Pulmonary Medicine. This program is currently being offered only in 6 centres in India. We also offer a training program in respiratory and sleep technology.

Services: daily out-patient (including airway, smoking cessation and sleep special clinics) inpatient and intensive care facilities for patients with respiratory and sleep disorders.
