Services - Biochemistry


Clinical Biochemistry Division is in the hospital ground floor. Lab caters to 1500 to 1800 patient samples per day and offers services to Inpatient and Outpatient along with Walk-in and referred patients from surrounding clinics and hospitals. Lab adheres to regulatory guidelines and is known for quality conscious services that could be attributed to consistent, strong groundwork from the dedicated staff. Lab services have been accredited since 2007 for all its parameters.

Services Offered:
● General Biochemistry parameters: Glucose, Urea, Creatinine, Electrolytes, Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, Lipid profile (cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol, triglycerides), bilirubin (total, indirect and direct), total protein and albumin, Glycated Haemoglobin
● Enzymes; Amylase, Lipase, CK, CK MB (mass), LDH, liver enzymes
● Cardiac markers- homocysteine, troponin I
● Urine chemistry – 24h urine and random, measured osmolality
● Special chemistry - hormones (Thyroid profile, reproductive profile, AMH, GH), Insulin, GTT, tumour markers (AFP, CEA, PSA, CA19.9, CA 125), Anti CCP, Anti TPO, ceruloplasmin, Ceruloplasmin, Protein electrophoresis
● Newborn screening – TSH, Total galactose, 17 OH Progesterone, Biotinidase
● Lab offers interlaboratory program for body fluids and few esoteric tests to multiple laboratories in the city.
● Advisory services to its users and consultants are available round-the-clock.

Research services offered: Lab participates in variety of ongoing research, ranging from evaluation of new biomarkers, clinical trials to analytical validation of parameters.

Training offered: Lab offers training program in various aspects of laboratory services that encompasses documentation, quality management system, validation and verification of analyte performance, quality control program, verification of equipment calibration to undergraduate and postgraduate students of medical and allied health courses. Department offers observer ship and training for biotechnology, chemistry, and biochemistry students.
