The past research publications from the department span the interests of the faculty members and includes portal hypertension, Hirschsprung disease, spina bifida and pediatric urology. Completed projects include several on the diagnostics and long term outcome in Hirschsprung disease and doppler USG in vesicoureteral reflux. Ongoing projects include intramural and extramural projects on Hirschsprung disease (genetic aspects, translational research), pediatric urology (posterior urethral valve, vesicoureteral reflux, genetics of congenital kidney diseases, disorders of sex differentiation) and spina bifida -hydrocephalus (long term outcome)
