Special Services and Specialty Clinics

Hydrocephalus Spina Bifida Clinic (HSB)(2000)

The Clinic involves a multidisciplinary team consisting of the pediatric surgeons, pediatrics, orthopedics, physiotherapy, child guidance counselors and social workers. The comprehensive follow up of these children aims at their psychosocial and physical rehabilitation making them socially independent.

Pediatric Gender Clinic (PGC)(2005)
Children with Disorders of sex differentiation (DSD/ Intersex) are managed and followed up in this clinic. The team includes Pediatric Surgeons, PediatricEndocrinologist, Child Psychologist, Pediatrician, Geneticist and Social worker. The clinic works towards comprehensive evaluation, counseling, hormone replacement and appropriate reconstructive surgeries as deemed necessary for children with DSD. It helps children and families to cope with psychological and social re-adjustments and supports them to overcome the social stigma.

Nephro-Urology Clinic (NUC)(2000)
The clinic is involved in the collective management of children with complex kidney (urologic) disorders along with the Pediatric Nephrology team.Children with various kidney ailments are registered here and are in follow up. The Clinic aids in assessment of renal health, nutrition, medication and surgical follow up. It also supports children who are on clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) and those with single kidneys

Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic (CKD)
An Initiative by the Pediatric Nephrology team, involves the Pediatric Surgeons in caring for children with chronic or long standing kidney ailments. Pediatric Surgery team contributes in the follow up of children with major urological reconstructive surgeries, renal replacement therapy and Pediatric Renal Transplantation

Minimal Access Surgery (MAS)
Faculty are trained in Basic and Advanced Minimal Access surgery and perform various Laparoscopic operations from Infants to Teenagers without a major scar on the abdomen, Thoracoscopy, Bronchoscopy and Cystourethroscopyare the other major endoscopic procedures performed
