The last couple of decades have witnessed a change in the landscape of infectious diseases with the emergence of new and resistant pathogens. The Unit of Infectious Diseases has been established to meet the need for expertise to tackle the problems associated with atypical infections, infections in immunocompromised patients and to deal with antimicrobial resistance issues.
