The unit is well equipped with a kangaroo mother care ward for preterm and low birth weight babies and a high risk follow up clinic by a multidisciplinary team. NICU has state-of-the-art equipment including high frequency ventilators, inhaled nitric oxide, HFNC, multichannel monitors, SET pulse oximeters, servo-controlled cooling device, laminar flow, point of care ABG analyzer, Giraffe & transport incubators, bedside USG/Echo machines, aEEG, etc.which are necessary to take care of sick babies. We were one of the first units in the country to start ROP screening, offering in-house laser therapy and universal hearing screening.
