Foot Care and Diabetic Foot Rehabilitation
Comprehensive care for Diabetic Foot includes:
• Ulcer and Wound Management
• Offloading and Pressure-relieving Devices
• Customised Therapeutic Footwear
• Patient Education and Preventive Foot Care
• NCD Foot Clinic – Anekal Outreach

Rehabilitation-Oriented Interventions
Medically supervised interventions include:
• Spasticity Management: Botulinum toxin injections, Phenol blocks, Selective Neurotomy
• Pain Management: Ultrasound-guided joint, soft tissue, and nerve injections; regenerative therapies including Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
• Rehabilitation Surgeries: Tendon lengthening, tendon transfers, contracture release, and pressure ulcer reconstruction br />
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Our Occupational Therapy unit helps patients regain functional independence in self-care, work, and leisure activities.
Services include:
• Upper limb rehabilitation and fine motor training
• Splint fabrication and adaptive equipment training
• Cognitive retraining and environmental modification for home and workplace reintegration

Speech and Language Therapy (SLT)
The Speech and Language Pathology team provides assessment and therapy for:
• Speech, language, and communication disorders
• Cognitive-communication difficulties post brain injury or stroke
• Swallowing (dysphagia) management through evidence-based therapy, including VitalStim (V-Stim) electrical stimulation therapy for swallowing rehabilitation

Prosthetics & Orthotics Unit
An in-house Orthotics and Prosthetics unit provides:
• Custom-made splints and orthoses
• Lower and upper limb prosthetic devices
• Gait and prosthesis training for community reintegration

Community Outreach & Capacity Building
The department conducts regular outreach camps in collaboration with NGOs such as the Association for People with Disability and CBR Forum across Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Koppal, Anekal, Davangere, and other underserved districts of Karnataka.
We also train health workers and caregivers in basic rehabilitation techniques to promote community-based rehabilitation.
